If a child can’t see in school, you give him a vision check and you get him glasses, and you think how hard is this? Why aren’t we doing this for the most common mental health problem?” she said.

She believes people are better at recognizing symptoms of anxiety, not that anxiety is necessarily on the rise in adolescents.
